After much speculation about the future of the F1 British Grand Prix, a
deal has been signed in early December 2009 which will ensure that
Formula 1 fans in Britain will enjoy the race at least for the next 17
years.
Donington Park was given the race last year and most fans said good bye
to Silverstone in 2009 thinking they won't see a race there in the next
10 years.
But in November 2009 it was announced that Donington will not be hosting the event after all because of insufficient funding.

and replaced by yet another new circuitĀ designed by Hermann Tilke.
Thanks to the efforts of Damon Hill and everyone else at the British
Racing Drivers' Club, Silverstone is yet again the home of the British
Grand Prix.
